The FCDO says British and British-Iranian dual nationals are at significant risk of arrest, questioning, or detention, and that holding a British passport or connections to the UK can be reason enough. UK government support in Iran is extremely limited. Regional tensions remain unpredictable. Air, sea, and land routes sit under Iranian control and can close at short notice. If either of you would have to ignore that page to keep a listing live, take the listing down. If you still want a travel companion after that paragraph, you want the person who will match a visa path and this month's dress rules with you. Someone who only lists Isfahan adjectives is not helping you decide.

Persian (Farsi) is the main language. Azerbaijani and Kurdish matter in their regions. The rial is the official unit. People count in toman, ten rials to one toman. Tehran is the capital. VIP intercity buses are cheap, spacious, and the usual way between cities if you go. None of that is a reason to skip the advice check.

You are agreeing to the same legal and dress reality, not to a photograph of a dome. A second person is useful on a long VIP bus and in a twin room, the way company is useful anywhere. That usefulness only starts once both passports can enter on a path you have both verified this week, and once both of you will follow current dress and conduct rules without treating them as optional flavor. Women-dress rules belong in the trip. So does any nationality-specific visa code. This page does not invent those codes. Official government sources do.
