Nassau first, or did you already book an Out Island hop?

Nassau is colonial streets, a loud harbour when ships are in, and the airport that makes the rest possible. It is also where mega-resorts absorb people who never leave the property. If both of you want that, say resort week and enjoy the gate. If both of you want quieter water, you want the person who will board the booked ferry or the booked domestic flight.

Island hopping needs Bahamasair or Bahamas Ferries. Book those well in advance. Different mornings are not a shared boat. They are two waves from two docks. Coral time and a pig sandbar are Out Island days. They need a hull you already paid for. They do not appear because a photo used the same water.

When should you go, and what does December change?

December to April is when winter arrivals fill Nassau and the hops. November sits just before that rush in many local lists. That is also when leftover singles pay walk-up rooms. Months outside that window are a different humidity and a different weather talk. Say the month. Check official weather the week you fly.

A week is Nassau plus one hop, or Nassau alone. Two weeks if two island groups are real and already ticketed. Five days is one harbour. Trying to sell the whole archipelago as a casual title is how you argue on a dock.

Why does a known name change the Exumas maths?

Exumas photographs are cheap. Exumas logistics are not. A boat that holds four still sells to the people who booked it. Two known seats beat a dock tout. If you already agree you want the pigs, or already agree you do not, you stop wasting a weather window on that argument. The useful person is the second name on the reservation, not someone who wandered off a ship.

If you only want to share a small-cay cottage with another woman, say that, and say how many beds the place actually has. An Exumas partner who only has a Saturday afternoon is not on the ferry that left Friday.
